About the Role
Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead operations in our Rubber Electrical
Cable Manufacturing Unit, specializing in a wide range of rubber cable products. The ideal
candidate will possess strong technical expertise in rubber cable production processes,
quality standards, and product applications, along with proven leadership in managing plant
operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
o Oversee daily manufacturing operations of rubber electrical cables with
hands-on experience on Copper Wire/Fine Wire drawing, Bunching, CV
Extruder lines, Brading ,Rubber extrusions, Rubber compounding and other
relevant processes.
o Ensure adherence to production schedules, efficiency targets, and safety
standards.
o Optimize resource utilization (materials, manpower, machinery).
Technical Expertise
o Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various rubber cable products, including:
Flexible rubber cables
Welding cables
Mining cables
Submersible pump cables
Heat-resistant and flame-retardant rubber cables
o Supervise extrusion, vulcanization, insulation, and sheathing processes.
Quality Assurance
o Implement and monitor quality control systems to meet industry standards
(e.g., IS, IEC).
o Conduct product testing for electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties.
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability.
Team Leadership
o Manage and train production staff, technicians, and operators.
o Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation.
o Coordinate with R&D and design teams for new product development.
Compliance & Safety
o Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
o Maintain documentation for audits, certifications, and regulatory approvals.
Customer & Market Focus
o Support sales and marketing teams with technical product knowledge.
o Provide insights into customer requirements and industry trends.
o Assist in developing customized cable solutions for diverse applications.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Polymer/Rubber Technology (Master’s preferred).
8-12 years of experience in cable manufacturing, with at least 3 years in rubber cable production head.
Strong knowledge of rubber compounding, extrusion, and cable design.
Familiarity with international standards (IS, IEC, BS, UL).
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
