Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models of cast components, patterns, core boxes, and fixtures.
Interpret and convert customer specifications or samples into foundry-ready CAD models.
Prepare detailed drawings for pattern making and CNC machining.
Collaborate with production, tooling, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
Modify existing designs based on changes in specifications, process improvements, or rejection feedback.
Generate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and maintain design documentation.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and proper GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) application.
Support design validation activities like simulation or mockup reviews, when required.
Maintain a proper CAD file management system with version control.
Participate in design review meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar 2D/3D tools.
Good understanding of foundry processes, casting allowances, draft angles, and shrinkage factors.
Knowledge of pattern and core design fundamentals.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and customer specifications.
Familiarity with machining tolerances, material properties, and tooling.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and a structured approach to design.
Good communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
