About the Role
Key Responsibilities
-Strategic Leadership
-Lead overall production operations for MV & LV cable manufacturing.
-Develop and implement production strategies aligned with organizational
goals.
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce
costs.
Operational Management
-Oversee Wire drawing, extrusion insulation (CCV) and Sioplas(LV), Laying
-Up,Screening/armouring, sheathing, and testing processes for MV & LV
cables.
-Ensure adherence to production schedules, delivery timelines, and customer
requirements.
-Manage plant resources including manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
Technical Expertise
-Demonstrate strong knowledge of MV & LV cable design, standards, and
applications.
-Supervise manufacturing of XLPE, PVC, and rubber-insulated cables.
-Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, and other international standards.
Quality & Compliance
-Implement robust quality assurance systems across production lines.
-Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
-Maintain certifications and audit readiness (ISO, BIS, etc.).
Team Development
-Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams.
-Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and innovation.
-Coordinate with R&D, engineering, and sales teams for product development
and customization.
Performance Monitoring
-Track KPIs including yield, downtime, efficiency, and quality metrics.
-Prepare and present production reports to senior management.
-Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production or similar.
12–15 years of experience in cable manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior production leadership role.
Strong knowledge of MV & LV cable manufacturing processes and product portfolio.
Familiarity with international standards (IS, IEC, BS, UL).
Proven track record in managing large-scale production units.
